In honor of the 40th anniversary of the Fischer-Spassky match for the chess world championship, I am publishing the games of the match on the anniversary date of each of the games.

Spassky breathes new life into the defense of his title. Despite the recent setbacks, he shows he is ready to fight for the championship by opening with 1.e4. And proceeds to defeat Fischer in convincing fashion.
